My own songs from 2005

I  worked on a couple of  songs with Chris Jones, and I'm really grateful for the support I got from Louise Ryan, my vocal coach and Al Steele.  Here is a clip of the remixed version of 'Love Needs No Reason'  that we first recorded at Shabbey Road Studios in Caerphilly mid April.

At the end of March we recorded 'This Story's My Confession'.  I've redone the vocals now.  Here's a clip of it.

In 2005 I met up with Swedish composer Filip von Uexkull in London and recorded two of his songs.  They were produced by Chris Elms and I've had some really good feedback on them.

In May/June 2005 I recorded a great song by Al Steele called 'I Change'.  My voice certainly changed - when we started I was full of hay fever!  Here's a clip.

I've had a great deal of encouragement  from Paul Weston, who wrote two songs for Bac2Bac, which were recorded in 2004.   Listen out for excellent guitar backing from Nigel Jenkins.

After Owen Money in 2004 I was contacted by Bob Gould, a local lyricist, whose has written many new musicals and was currently working on entries for the 2005 Cardiff International Festival of Musical Theatre Global Search for New Musicals.  He was submitting a musical called Nova, that he had written in conjunction with Tristan Bons and Jimmy Granstrom, from the Netherlands and Sweden respectively.  The numbers I was involved in are featured below.  All the songs I have recorded locally in conjunction with Bob Gould were recorded at AGM Productions in the Swansea Valley.

At the beginning of May 2005 I recorded 'Daylight's Breaking', which is a version in English of 'Nessun Dorma', with music by Giacomo Puccini  and lyrics by Robert Gould.  I wanted to do something completely different to G4's version.  I think you'll agree I did!
